These past couple of years have been an interesting period of my life, and being back in Nepal gave me a lot of time to think on my understanding about this life, the spaces I inhabit, and my interest in the kind of world I want to see be available for the future of myโ€ฆ

Iโ€™ve been waiting for a little bit to officially write about this because my brain keeps going into its own cycles of what if patterns. Back in mid July, at the end of my trip home, I finally applied to the High Performance Sports masterโ€™s program at Universitรคt des Saarlandes. I had been looking atโ€ฆ

3 Years Later

Looking back at the last 3 years of my life,Itโ€™s pretty maddening to think about all thatโ€™s passed.Since landing on this new land,with its new people,a new language,and its own set of new challenges. Iโ€™ve slept on more couches, strangerโ€™s futons, gym mats, floors and guest bedrooms than Iโ€™d ever imagined possible. Iโ€™ve survived aโ€ฆ

How can I say this?

For the first time since arriving in Germany I’ve found myself back at a martial arts gym.AND on a semi regular basis at that.I was so involved in my martial arts community for such a large chuck of my life that not having them now made everything feel very lonely. I think in many waysโ€ฆ

Bois to Brothas

I came to the United States knowing just my immediate family. I’ve only ever had Didi for a sibling,(Not counting all the didi’s, dai’s, bhai’s and baini’s from the greater Family tree.) I never expected this core group to grow beyond 3 Pillars, and yet, over the years I’ve come to realize that there areโ€ฆ
